  • Abstract
The possibility to extract copper foreign bodies from the human eye with pulsed high field magnets is theoretically investigated. In principle it is feasible to succeed by a combination of a superconducting dc-magnet and a coil generating an asymmetrical pulsed magnetic field. Also sufficiently high attractive forces can be produced in not too small copper particles by rapidly shutting down a 10 MW Bitter-magnet. The medical limitations of the method are discussed.
