Abstract
FMR technique has been used to determine some magnetic properties in the range -50 to 150°C of the implanted layer in bubble garnet films. Ion implantation leads to a strong reduction of the Néel temperature, TN . Samples where the implanted layer was etched off to varying extents were studied and the results enabled us to correlate the variation of TN and anisotropy inhomogeneities with the defects and stress profile which had been obtained from other techniques. Annealing at 400°C reduces these inhomogenities but affects TN only slightly. The spin wave spectrum and its temperature dependence are also discussed.
