Abstract
CoSi films have been obtained at room temperature by triode sputtering. The films were prepared in a wide composition range, but the coexistence of amorphousness and ferromagnetism takes place only for .55<x<.80 at room temperature. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and resistivity behaviour versus temperature are typical of an amorphous system. Measurements of Hall voltage as a function of temperature and magneto-optical transverse Kerr effect are also reported.
