Abstract :
The design, fabrication and performance of a high-track-density disk head with a coupled-film, magnetoresistive read section and single-turn write section are discussed. Based on observed output voltages, it is concluded that track densities considerably greater than 1000 tracks/cm (2500 tpi) are feasible.
