Abstract
The dynamics of injection locked coupled oscillator arrays operating as phase-shifters is studied. In these systems the choice of the injection signal power is of great importance as it directly affects the maximum achievable phase shift range. Its influence over the system performance is studied by means of harmonic balance simulations. These arrays present several coexisting solutions for fixed values of the system parameters. The stability of the various solutions is studied through envelope transients simulations. The different analyses proposed allow a complete evaluation of the system performance, enabling an optimum choice of the injection-locking power.
