Abstract
The Faraday-rotation of amorphous TbFe and TbFeSn-alloys of various compositions were measured in the temperature range of
K. While the addition of Sn and also Bi and Pb leads to an increase of the magneto-optic effects in GdFe we have found Sn to decrease the Faraday-rotation in the TbFe-system. All investigated films were prepared by e-gun evaporation and showed uniaxial anisotropy.
