Abstract :
The performance of a six-port reflectometer designed with a center frequency of 8 GHz and operated with pulsed signals was investigated for pulse durations down to 3μs. It was found to be excellent for frequencies from 4 to 12 GHz and satisfactory up to 14 GHz. The pulsed measurements exhibit the same accuracy as CW (continuous wave) measurements. The investigation shows that this type of network analyzer can be used to perform measurements of pulsed-RF components.
