Abstract
Neutron depolarization experiments have been performed on polycrystalline Fe(40)Ni(60)-foil under tension. By applying a block shaped periodic magnetic field in the same direction as the tension, the magnetization reversal of the uniaxial domain structure has been studied. The measurements have been compared with computer simulations at different densities of domain nuclei on the surfaces and correlations between the domains on the opposing surfaces. Also the presence of a magnetic charge on the surface and the wall by applying a field gradient in the field direction has been observed.
