Abstract :
3D modeling becomes necessary for analysis of special electromagnetic systems and also for testing the consistency of two dimensional models. In this paper, the variational formulations of magnetostatic scalar and vector potentials are reviewed. An original energy functional for non linear anisotropic vector potential with a proof of uniqueness of solution is proposed. The biggest problems remain data input and results reduction; these two problems are analysed and solutions are given with some illustrated examples.
