Abstract
The exact or numerical solutions for the 
-plane scan and quasi- 
-plane scan of a rectangular waveguide array may be combined to give a useful approximate solution to a composite planar array. The limitations inherent in the approximation, and numerical resuits for an air-dielectric thin-walled composite array are presented.
