Abstract
This paper evaluates seven basic grounding schemes used for maintenance of overhead de-energized distribution lines in the system of Taiwan Power Company. The test results are summarized to determine the effective grounding scheme of protecting workers on de-energized overhead distribution lines from the source-side due to an accidental energization. The fault currents were recorded with various grounding configurations. As a result, two of grounding configurations are considered lethal.
