  • Abstract
    Approximate solutions for field components of several perpendicular heads exist in the literature. In this paper we present an exact solution for the field from a perpendicular head of arbitrary dimension using conformal mapping. Excellent agreement exists between the calculated fields and fields measured on a large-scale model head.
