Abstract :
A relationship is known that holds for the extremal vertices of a function and its dual, and also for the boundary points of a threshold function and its dual. If the given functional is canonical, then the canonical extremal vertices form a subset of extremal vertices. It is the purpose of the letter to show that a similar relationship is true also for the canonical extremal vertices of a switching function.
