Abstract
The ability to link automated tools for electronic circuit production is an important area in computer-aided engineering research. The need to link design and test generation techniques, to cater for the different levels of design skill likely to be available, is emphasised. The approach to electronic design automation and testing through the Exadat system, developed at Exeter University, is outlined. The operation of the current system is described and example results from student projects are presented. Further proposed developments to the system are also indicated
