Abstract
Applications exist in which dielectric structural-support rods must be placed in an electromagnetic field parallel to the
vector. Scattering of power by these rods can be greatly reduced by embedding one or more inductive wires within the dielectric to tune out its capacitance. Such a tuned dielectric rod has been designed and tested.
