  • Abstract
    Applications exist in which dielectric structural-support rods must be placed in an electromagnetic field parallel to the E vector. Scattering of power by these rods can be greatly reduced by embedding one or more inductive wires within the dielectric to tune out its capacitance. Such a tuned dielectric rod has been designed and tested.
