Abstract
For eddy current flow problems in which the conductors have a constant permeability it has been found convenient to use scalar potentials outside the eddy region and vectors inside The vectors E and H have each been tried and a manner of coupling the different field quantities together in a way which is compatible with the finite element solution technique is discussed. The method has been tested in 2-D, quasi 3-D and 3-D.
