  • Abstract
    Wireless spectrum is a scarce, valuable resource that is unused for much of the time. The article looks at whether cognitive radio can put an end to this apparent paradox. Communications devices that work out for themselves which frequencies and protocols to use will help make more efficient use of the radio spectrum.
