  • Abstract
    A new approximation technique is presented for predicting the performance of queuing networks employing dynamic (state-dependent) routing. It is based on a first-order modelling of the interactions between the elements of a queuing network, in essence by simplifying the state transition diagram of the underlying Markov process.
