Abstract :
An electro-optic probing method which uses a continuous-light semiconductor-laser beam and a fast photodetector is proposed. In addition, a sensitivity improvement achievable with the presence of the Fabry-Perot effect is indicated. A sensitivity of -36 dBm for a 15 GHz measurement on a test sample is reported.
