Abstract
The suitability of Pascal for power-flow programming applications is demonstrated. The implementation of a fast decoupled algorithm on a personal computer using the MS-DOS operating system is documented. The program includes MW and MVAr dispatch with power limits. The relevant advantages of Pascal as used in the program are discussed. The algorithm has been tested using the IEEE 14-bus test system. A 20-bus 24-line sample system has been used for instructional purposes.<>
