Abstract :
A thick single pole head with non-parallel edges made possible high density perpendicular recording and reproduction from one side of medium, and provided the frequency characteristic which was dips-free and monotonous in high density region. We had a try to reduce reproduction-spacing-loss using a large scale model which consisted of a S.P.H. and a "resolving core film" which worked as a sink for an interfering flux near the edge of the S.P.H., to get -15 d/λ dB.
