Abstract :
A relationship between eddy current losses and a new parameter which is thought to represent an equivalent number of barlike domain walls in various soft magnetic materials is described. Eddy current losses are inversely proportional to the parameter regardless of the composition, dimensions, or heat treatment of the materials. The relationship makes it possible to estimate minor loop losses.
