Abstract
Characteristic curves, which can be used directly in the design of the second-harmonic magnetic modulator, have been developed on the basis of accurate equations and a computer program. These curves relate the modulator sensitivity with its various parameters. The optimum combination of parameters, which leads to the highest sensitivity, has been found. The possibility of utilizing the fourth-harmonic component of modulator output-voltage as an output of the modulator instead of the second-harmonic component has been discussed.
