Abstract :
This paper considers a magnetic frequency tripler operating from an unbalanced three-phase supply. It is shown that even small unbalances can significantly alter the normal behaviour of the device and lead to undesired operating modes. This paper outlines a method of analysis and offers general guidelines for the design of stable devices.
