Abstract :
A novel channel estimation for single-input multiple-output (SIMO) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems without cyclic prefix is proposed. The signal model with intersymbol interference is first presented. Because of the block Toeplitz structure of the channel matrix, the subspace channel estimation with block matrix is then developed. Compared with existing methods, the proposed channel estimation yields good performance in the finite sample scenario.
