Abstract :
A simple and low-cost time-domain reflectometer using two pulse generators and a high bandwidth sample and hold amplifier is presented. The design has been achieved using an MMIC commercial foundry process from OMMIC (pHEMT ft=100 GHz). The bandwidth of the sampler is more than 10 GHz and the minimum pulse width generated is less than 50 ps. The total active area is less than 3 mm2
