Abstract
The Cabot converter is a combination of a few-phase primary and many-phase secondary transformer and a secondary circuit commutator driven by a synchronous motor. Direct current of high voltage can be readily produced, e.g. for radio transmitters. The converter has a lower reactance voltage than the standard rotary converter and has other constructional and electrical advantages.
