Abstract :
A method to take into account movement in the finite-element modeling of a linear moving system is presented. It avoids new mesh generation for each time step as well as the introduction of speed terms due to movement. Just a few user´s routines have to be added to a classical finite-element software such as Flux2D. A multisection induction electromagnetic launcher is modeled using this method.
