Abstract :
The creation of a computer-aided design system for the industrial magnetics designer requires the development of a user interface, a database, and an overall software structure, as well as the implementation of basic numerical techniques. Each of these requirements is examined from the viewpoint of both the software engineer and the magnetics designer. The discussion focuses on databases, languages and interfaces, and applications code generation
