Abstract :
The authors deal with the work of a technical committee from EDG (French Electricity Board) and GIMELEC (Union of French Electrical Manufacturers) to define an interface between field computation packages. They analyze the needs of information transfer between different field computation programs in electrical engineering and inspect software constraints to define an open data structure. The main components of this interface and reports of the design tests are given
