Abstract :
Coherent transform-limited picosecond pulses have been generated with a GaAlAs laser in a Selfoc lens extended resonator. The Selfoc lens forms a high-Q resonator which is compact and mechanically stable. The spatial profile of the output beam is Gaussian with an aspect ratio near unity.
