Abstract :
A formula is presented which enables the coherent attenuation due to rain to be calculated at any millimetre-wave frequency for any drop-size distribution. A method of scaling amplitudes for spherical drops to obtain amplitudes for horizontal polarisation incident on spheroidal drops is also presented.
