Abstract
An analog-to-digital-converter (ADC) based on the counting of single magnetic flux quanta has been fabricated and tested. The ADC incorporated a new synchronizing element between the flux quantizer and binary counters, making the digital output data synchronous with the system clock. This is the first demonstration of a flux quantizer, synchronizer, and counter operating together to form a completely synchronous ADC.<>
