Abstract :
Important directions for research were defined at a workshop on distributed fault-tolerant computers, held November 3-5, 1976, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society´s Technical Committee on Fault-Tolerant Computing, chaired by John Meyer, and the Micro/Mini Computers TC, chaired by William Dejka, the workshop attracted 46 participants to discuss this rapidly developing area.
