Abstract :
The paper is concerned with a theory of diffuse current flow through boundary layers near electrodes (cathodes and anodes) in a thermal plasma of molecular gases. The system of governing equations includes hydrodynamics transport equations for the charged particles and the Poisson equation. Numerical solution of this system is given and analyzed for a wide range of conditions. The results agree with the available experimental data
