Abstract :
We obtain high density recording, 263 Mbpi2, using metal evaporated tape and a new automatic equalizer, which consists of a new analog detector and a new analog delay circuit. We also describe how to decide the optimum recording current to satisfy the electromagnetic characteristics; output level, overwrite ratio and waveform asymmetry (a special problem of metal evaporated tape)
