  • Abstract
    Compared to even the most complex engineering systems, physiological systems are enormously difficult ones in which to conduct direct parametric studies. In this paper, we look at the application of computer simulation techniques to the study of pulmonary diffusion—a physiological process that is especially difficult to study in vivo ( i.e., experiments conducted on a living subject).
