Abstract :
Microstructure and texture of high permeability 3% silicon-iron alloys containing boron, sulfur and manganese have been investigated as a function of carbon content using a two stage cold reduction method. The content of carbon was varied from 0.013 w/o to 0.12 w/o by carburization or decarburization of hot bands. Samples with carbon content between 0.02 w/o and 0.08 w/o at the final cold rolled stage develop strong
