Abstract :
The author compares the teaching of electrical engineering in Australia and the USSR with the norm in the US. Although the purpose of the trips made by the author was not to make a scientific comparison of electrical engineering education under different economic systems, he bases the comparison on features that would be considered during an accreditation visit, namely, curriculum, faculty, students, and facilities and equipment.<>
