Abstract :
The Curie temperature cross-over phenomena and the internal friction of amorphous Fe32Ni36Cr14P12B6alloy were studied under the same annealing conditions. The changes in the internal friction vs temperature curve describe the activation energy spectrum of the internal relaxation centers, and correspond quite well to the expected spectral changes in the magnetic interactions which bring about the cross-over phenomena. It is therefore suggested that the changes in the Curie temperature and internal friction share the same microscopic kinetic mechanism.
