Abstract :
Two Zr doped YIG samples were examined with the MLD technique. The magnetooptical active centers are Found to be localized in both octahedral and tetrahedral sites and their behaviour with changing temperature, wavelength and crystal orientation is shown. Some details are given of a model useful For interpretation of the MLD results.
