Abstract :
This study had the purpose of investigating the distortion of the particle size distribution of a powder submitted to WHGMS when both the particles and the matrix are of a coarse nature. Results were obtained at three different flow velocities. In each case the particle size distribution of the retained fraction was found to contain relatively more particles of the finest and coarsest fraction than the original manganese monoxide used in the experiments. A possible explanation for this is given.
