Abstract
A method for the calculation of 3-dimensional eddy-currents is proposed and outlined. It uses the scalar magnetic potential within nonconducting and the electric field vectors within conducting regions. The finite difference method leads to a relative simply structured system of linear complex equations which is solved iteratively by means of a special block successive overrelaxation technique published recently.
