Abstract :
A version of the TRIFOU code (TRISURF) is presented that computes, for three-dimensional problems, surface eddy currents and the magnetic field in the induced circuit when the skin depth is thin. A new feature of this program, which uses a combined finite-element and boundary-element method, is the computation only on the surface of the conductor, requiring only a surface mesh. The initial results for an axisymmetrical case are shown to compare well with the analytical solution. Results for a 3-D problem are also presented
