شناسايي موضوعات نوظهور در حوزه ژنتيك: يك تحليل علم سنجي

Identifying Emerging Topics in the Field of Genetics: A Scientometrics Analysis

مقدمه: ژنتيك، موضوع پراكنده اي مرتبط با تنوع و توارث در تمام موجودات زنده است. در اين حوزه پژوهش هاي زيادي انجام گرفته است. شناسايي زمينه هاي پژوهشي فعال اين حوزه و حدود موضوعاتي كه در عرصه علمي كه در چند ساله اخير مطرح شده است، حائز اهميت است.روش بررسي: پژوهش حاضر، با رويكرد علم سنجي به مطالعه تحولات موضوعي حوزه ژنتيك پرداخته است. 79593، 40184 و 97512 مقاله مرتبط با ژنتيك در وبگاه پاب مد به ترتيب مربوط به سه دوره زماني پايه (2004-1909)، دوره 5 ساله (2009-2005) و دوره 10ساله (2014-2005) با استفاده از نرم افزارهاي پري مپ (premap)، اكسل (excel)و اس پي اس اس (spss) تحليل گرديده است.نتايج: يافته هاي پژوهش نشانداد كه روند رشد مقالات در حوزه ژنتيك در فاصله سال هاي 2005 تا 2014 داراي سير صعودي بوده است. فعال ترين زمينه پژوهشي در اين حوزه شامل ژنوميكس، پروتئوميكس، واكنش زنجيره اي پليمراز (pcr) و فارماكوژنتيك مي باشد. همچنين براساس شاخص دربردارندگي نشان داده شد كه تحول در موضوعات بسيار بوده است و روز به روز موضوعات جديد به حوزه ژنتيك افزوده مي شود.نتيجه گيري: كشف روابط مفهومي ميان مدارك يك حوزه علمي، فرايندي پيچيده است، لذا نتايج حاصل از آن نيز احتياج به دركي عميق دارد. رويكردهاي كمي در مطالعات علمي، اگرچه كاستي هايي دارد و نمي تواند همه جانبه به تحليل ابعاد مختلف موضوع بپردازد، اما بي فايده و غلط هم نيست و به سياستگزاران و برنامه ريزان، شناختي كلي مي دهد تا به وضعيت كنوني، اشراف پيدا كرده و بتوانند واقعي تر تصميم بگيرند و كارآمدتر عمل كنند. روند ادامه اين نوع پژوهش ها كه با هدف ارزيابي يك حوزه علمي انجام مي گيرند در نهايت سبب تقويت مديريت آن حوزه مي گردد

Introduction: Genetics is a broad issue which is associated with diversity and inheritance in all the living beings. Numerous researches have been implemented in this sphere. Meanwhile، significant steps have been taken during the past few years including identification of active research fields of the area as well as recognition of scientific literature in the sphere. This study، therefore، seeks to identify core and frequently-taken subjects as well as newly-emerged or emerging subjects in the area. Methodology: The current research has focused on researches on thematic evolutions in the genetics area with a scientometric approach. As many as 79،593 articles on genetics on PubMed were analyzed over the base period (1909-2004) using Premap، Excel، and SPSS، while the figures are 40،184 and 97،512 for the five-year period (2005-2009) and ten-year period (2005-2014)، respectively. Findings: The findings revealed that growth rate for the number of articles on genetics has demonstrated an upward trend while genomics، proteomics، polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and pharmacogenetics have been the most active research fields in the area. Moreover، based on inclusion index، it has been demonstrated that evolution has been abundantly seen and new subjects were born in the genetics area on a daily basis. Conclusion: It is a complicated process to discover conceptual relationships between the documents of a scientific area. Hence، the resulting conclusions naturally require a deep understanding. Quantitative approaches، despite having shortcomings and being unable to comprehensively analyze different aspects of the issue، are not entirely futile and inaccurate. But they can enable the policymakers to acquire a general knowledge of the current situation so that they can make more realistic decisions and operate more efficiently. Continuance of such researches، aimed at assessing a discipline، will eventually empower the managers in those disciplines and scientific areas.
