يكي از رويكردهاي نوين شكل گرفته در عرصه سياستگذاري و حكمراني، بحث سياستگذاري داده باز حاكميتي است. سياستگذاري داده باز حاكميتي، مفهوم و رويكردي جديدي است كه به دنبال بهره گيري از ظرفيت هاي مردمي در عرصه سياستگذاري است. پژوهش حاضر با هدف فهم سياستگذاري داده باز حاكميتي و فوايد و مزاياي آن در عرصه سياستگذاري شكل گرفته است. اين پژوهش با روش و رويكرد توصيفي تحليلي انجام شده است و با بهره گيري از روش تحليل اسنادي، مزايا و فوايد سياستگذاري داده باز در عرصه حاكميتي مشخص مي شود. پژوهش حاضر از نوع توصيفي و اكتشافي است و فاقد فرضيه پژوهشي است. با مشاهده پژوهش هاي انجام شده در حوزه داده باز و همچنين اقدامات عملي كه در سطح جهان انجام شده است، مشخص مي شود كه سياستگذاري داده باز حاكميتي باعث تاثيرات اقتصادي، اجتماعي، سياسي و تاثيرات مديريتي و حاكميتي مي شود كه اين تاثيرات به نوبه خود گام هايي مهم در راستاي تحول دولت و سياستگذاري دولتي است
