چكيده فارسي :
جهاني شدن برجسته ترين ويژگي زمانه ما است كه الزاماتي را براي همكاري گسترده تر در سطح منطقه اي بوجود مي آورد. منطقه گرايي مكمل جهاني شدن است و توجه به آن ميتواند كشورها را در حد قابل قبولي از تبعات منفي جهاني شدن مصون دارد. جمهوري اسلامي ايران نيز نمي تواند از اين قاعده مستثني باشد.ايران مي تواند با حضور موثر در روند هاي منطقه اي، ضمن بهره گيري از اين مزيت، جايگاه خود را در معادلات جهاني ارتقا دهد. اما تاكيد بر كدام بعد منطقه گرايي، موفقيت بلند مدت ايران را تضمين خواهد كرد؟ در اين راستا اگر «سياست و امنيت» در اولويت قرارگيرد، بر اساس نظريه نو واقع گرايي كه عرصه بين الملل را فرو رفته در هرج و مرج مي بيند، مي توان گفت كه منافع آن نصيب بازيگران قدرتمند خواهد شد. اما با محور قرار دادن بنيادهاي ژئواكونوميك، با توجه به اينكه منطق موجود در نظام بين الملل بعد از جنگ سرد، اقتصادي است و متعاقب آن حجم عمدهاي از مولفه هاي قدرت در سطح ملي و بين المللي، در چارچوب منافع اقتصادي ظاهر مي گردد، ديپلماسي اقتصادي مي تواند با استفاده از فرصت ها و امكانات بين المللي به اهداف خود دست يابد. براي اين منظور سازمان همكاريهاي اقتصادي اكو كه با هدف گسترش تجارت و همكاريهاي اقتصادي ميان كشورهاي عضو آن ايجاد شده و همچنين با توجه به مزيت هايش براي كشورمان همانند همبستگي هاي اجتماعي شامل اشتراكات زباني، ديني و فرهنگي، نزديكي جغرافيايي و همچنين مركزيت ايران نسبت به آن، ظرفيت هاي بالقوه فراواني دارد تا با برنامه ريزي بهتر در بهره گيري از ظرفيت هاي بالاي آن بتوان در تامين هر چه بهتر منافع كشورمان تاثير گذاشت.
