Awareness and Attitude of Students at Farhangian University in Oral Health of 6-12 Year Old Children

زمينه و هدف: اين تحقيق با هدف بررسي ميزان آگاهي دانشجويان رشته آموزش ابتدايي دانشگاه فرهنگيان از سلامت دهان و دندان كودكان 6 تا 12 سال انجام شده است. مواد و روش ها: در اين تحقيق از روش توصيفي - پيمايشي استفاده گرديد. جامعه آماري اين تحقيق دانشجويان رشته آموزش ابتدايي دانشگاه فرهنگيان استان فارس (واحد شهيد مطهري)بوده، كه يك نمونه 87 نفري از ميان آنها به روش نمونه گيري طبقه اي نسبتي انتخاب شد براي گردآوري داده ها از 3 پرسشنامه استفاده شد كه روايي و پايايي آن توسط محقق تعيين گرديد. حداكثر نمره اي كه فرد مي تواند از پرسشنامه آگاهي، نگرش و عملكرد در زمينه بهداشت دهان و دندان بگيرد به ترتيب 48، 50 و 28 است. براي تجزيه و تحليل داده ها از آزمون t و مجذور خي دو استفاده شده است . يافته ها: يافته هاي تحقيق نشان داد كه ميانگين نگرش دانشجويان به بهداشت دهان و دندان 42/4 با انحراف استاندارد 5/53 بود كه بيانگر نگرش خوب دانشجويان به بهداشت دهان و دندان است ميانگين آگاهي دانشجويان نسبت به بهداشت دهان و دندان كودكان 6 تا 12 ساله ، 23/17 با انحراف استانداد 11/25 بود كه كمي پايين تر از حد متوسط است. ميانگين عملكرد دانشجويان نسبت به بهداشت دهان و دندان 15/7 با انحراف استاندارد 4/34 بود كه بيانگر عملكرد در حد متوسط دانشجويان است. نتيجه گيري: با توجه به يافته هاي تحقيق، ارتقاي آگاهي و عملكرد دانشجويان در زمينه بهداشت دهان و دندان در طول دوره دانشگاه و بعد از آن بايستي مورد توجه قرار گيرد.

Background: The aim of this study was to determine the level awareness of students of Farhangian University regarding Oral Health of their Children at age of 6-12 Years old. Materials and methods: In this research, descriptive -survey method was used. The statistical population of this research was students of primary education in Farhangian University of Fars Province (Shahid Motahari Branch), a sample of 87 of them were selected by relative stratified sampling. Three questionnaires were used for collecting data.The maximum score that an individual can take from the awareness, attitude and performance questionnaires on oral health is 48, 50, and 28, respectively. The validity and reliability of questionnaires were determined by the researcher. t-test and chi square test were used to analyze the data. Results: The findings of the study showed that the mean of student's attitude toward oral health was 42.4 with a standard deviation of 5.53, which indicates a good attitude of students towards oral health. The mean of student's awareness about oral health of children aged 6 to 12 years was 23.17 with a standard deviation of 11.25, which is slightly lower than the average. The mean of student's performance on oral health was 15.7 with a standard deviation of 4.34, Which indicates that student's performance is moderate. Conclusion: According to the findings of the research, promotion of awareness and practice of students regarding Oral Health during the period of the university and afterwards should be considered.
