انجمن اسلامي دانشجويان آمريكا و كانادا به عنوان تنها تشكل موافق نظام جمهوري اسلامي ايران در آمريكا بعد از پيروزي انقلاب اسلامي به رويارويي با جريان هاي ضد انقلابي در آمريكا پرداخت. با توجه به اهميت موضوع، اين مقاله در پي پاسخ به اين سوال است كه فعاليت هاي سياسي و عملكرد انجمن اسلامي دانشجويان آمريكا و كانادا در تقابل با جريان هاي التقاطي و سلطنت طلب چگونه بود؟ اين تحقيق از انواع تحقيقات كيفي بوده كه با روش تحليل اسنادي انجام شده است. براي گرد آوري داده ها ضمن مطالعه و بررسي اسناد، با برخي از دانشجويان آن زمان عضو انجمن اسلامي دانشجويان آمريكا و كانادا مصاحبه شده است. با بررسي اسناد و مصاحبه يافته هاي زير به دست آمد، عمده فعاليت هاي سياسي انجمن اسلامي در تقابل با گروه هاي التقاطي اصلاح طلب (نهضت آزادي) و راديكال (مجاهدين خلق) و گروه ضد انقلابي سلطنت طلب بود. و در اين راستا از انواع مختلف شيوه هاي اقدام جمعي و اعتراض بهره گرفت. عمده فعاليت هايي كه دانشجويان در آن زمان انجام داده اند يكي فعاليت هاي تبليغاتي و ابدئولوژيكي بوده كه به منظور افشاگري توطئه هاي دشمن و همچنين آگاه سازي افكار عمومي ملت آمريكا صورت گرفت. ديگر فعاليت انجمن در تقابل با جريان هاي مذكور تظاهرات و راهپيمايي بود. و فعاليت ديگر انجمن تحصن و اعتصاب غذا بود كه براي جلب توجه رسانه هاي آمريكايي و رساندن پيام خود به گوش جهانيان از آن استفاده مي شد.

Document review and interviews with the following findings were obtained major political activity in opposition to the group of eclectic reformist Islamic Association (FMI) and radical (MEK) was a monarchist and anti-revolutionary. and in this regard, a variety of methods used collective action and protest. The major activities that the students have done at that time was one promotional activities and Abdyvlvzhyky to expose the conspiracies of the enemy and the people of America were also public awareness. Community activities in opposition to the current protests and demonstrations that took place on a massive scale. and other activities, sit-ins and hunger strikes forum was to attract the attention of the American media and convey their message to the world than it used to be.
