مروري بر كرامت سالمندي و عوامل مرتبط با آن

A Review of Human Dignity in the Elderly and Its Related

يكي از اساسي‌ترين مواردي كه بايستي در مراقبت از سالمندان رعايت شود، حفظ كرامت آن‌هاست. رعايت كرامت انساني سالمندان، با توجه به داشتن بيماري‌هاي مزمن و كاهش توانمندي جسماني در هنگام مراقبت‌ها و كنترل سلامت كمتر موردتوجه قرار مي‌گيرد. بر همين اساس هدف از اين مطالعه، مروري بر كرامت سالمندان و عوامل مرتبط با آن مي‌باشد. مطالعه‌ي مروري نقلي حاضر با بررسي مقالاتي كه از سال 2000 تا پايان سال 2017 ميلادي در زمينه كرامت در سالمندان به زبان‌هاي فارسي و انگليسي منتشرشده بودند، انجام شد. با استفاده از كليدواژه در عنوان و يا چكيده مقاله در پايگاه‌هاي اطلاعاتي Magiran, SID, Medlib, Iranmedex Google Scholar, براي مطالعات فارسي‌زبان و مقالات به زبان انگليسي در پايگاه‌هاي PubMed, Science direct, Google scholar, Proquest Elsevier جستجو انجام شد. كليدواژه‌هاي فارسي شامل كرامت، منزلت، شأن، با تك‌تك واژه‌هاي افراد مسن، سالمند و سالخورده بود. اين كليدواژه‌ها در زبان انگليسي شامل؛ Dignity Dignified care,با تك‌تك واژه‌هاي Aging, Elderly, Old People بوده است. پس از جستجو 67 مقاله يافت شد كه در نهايت 10 مقاله واجد معيار ورود به مطالعه شناخته شدند. يافته‌ها نشان داد احترام، برقراري ارتباط مناسب، رعايت حريم خصوصي و رازداري، حفظ استقلال و ارائه مطلوب خدمات از عوامل ارتقادهنده احساس كرامت در سالمندان مي‌باشند. از طرف ديگر بي‌احترامي به سالمندان و برقراري ارتباط نامطلوب، ناديده گرفتن نياز آنان به استقلال و تصميم‌گيري، بستري شدن در بيمارستان و ارائه نامناسب خدمات، نداشتن حريم خصوصي، ناتواني در انجام فعاليت‌هاي روزمره، بازنشستگي و وابستگي اقتصادي از عوامل تهديدكننده كرامت در سالمندان محسوب مي‌شوند. پرستاران و مراقبين سالمندان بايد رعايت شأن و منزلت آنان را وظيفه خود دانسته و با توجه به عواملي كه زمينه‌ساز ارتقاء و يا تضعيف كرامت اين قشر از جامعه مي‌باشند، وظايف انساني خود را به شايستگي انجام دهند.

One of the most important points that need to be observed in taking care of the elderly is maintaining their dignity. Considering the fact that the elderly suffer from chronic diseases and a reduction of physical ability, observing their dignity has received less attention while caretaking and health control. Accordingly, the purpose of the present study has been to review human dignity in the elderly and its related factors. The present narrative review investigates Persian and English articles on human dignity in the elderly published from 2000 until the end of 2017. Using key word search about the title or abstract section in the Databases such as Iranmedex, Medlib, SID, Magiran and Google Scholar for Persian article and databases such as Google Scholar, Science direct, PubMed and Proquest Elsevier were searched for English articles using the following keywords in both Persian and English, the search was done. The key words in English include "dignity" and "Dignified care" along with the single words "old people", "elderly" and "aging". After searching, 67 articles were found and finally, 12 articles had the inclusion criteria. Findings showed that respecting human dignity is one of the most important needs of the elderly and must be considered as an important phenomenon in taking care of the elderly, at the community level and health service centers. Several factors are associated with the dignity of the elderly, including: respect, privacy protection, independence, support, illness and hospitalization. The results of this study can guide policy makers, managers and caregivers of the elderly in order to provide things that are important from the perspective of the elderly to protect their dignity, but are less respected.
